2018 Suncheon Project

The first project by the 2018 K’arts platform-Nantes took place at the Beaux-Arts Nantes International in Suncheon, Korea. The seven School of Visual Arts MFA students of the K-Arts (Gal Yoo-ra, Park Seung-man, Song Se-jin, Lee Se-rim, Lee Jung-hwa, Lim Heejae, Han Da-kyoung) and six MFA students of the Beaux-Arts Nantes (LELIÈVRE Gérémy, LIU Zhixing, BLAKE Matthieu, CHENIVESSE Lou, GIBERT Paul, TIAN Naiwei) worked on the theme of “Nature and Artificiality” under the guidance of Prof. Christiane Carlut (Beaux-Arts Nantes) in their first joint project. From 09 to 23 April (for fourteen days and fifteen nights), the K-Arts and the Beaux-Arts Nantes each explored and conducted research on the places of the Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve – one of the world’s five top coastal wetlands – Suncheon Bay National Garden, Suncheon open studio film set, Naganeupseong Walled Town, and Seonam Temple. They unveiled the research outcomes in the showcase on the last day of the project.

2018 순천 프로젝트

2018 K'arts platform-Nantes의 첫 번째 프로젝트는 한예종 미술원 전문사 학생 7명(갈유라, 박승만, 송세진, 이세림, 이정화, 임희재, 한다경)과 낭트 미대 석사 과정 학생 6명(LELIÈVRE Gérémy, LIU Zhixing, BLAKE Matthieu, CHENIVESSE Lou, GIBERT Paul, TIAN Naiwei)을 대상으로 CARLUT Christiane 낭트 미대 교수의 지도 아래 ‘자연과 인공’을 주제로 순천시에 개교한 낭트 미대 한국분교에서 진행됐습니다. 낭트 미대와 한예종 학생이 함께 한 첫 번째 공동 프로젝트로 14박 15일 동안(4월 9일~23일) 세계 5대 연안습지인 순천만과 순천만 국가정원, 순천 드라마 세트장, 낙안읍성, 선암사 등을 둘러보고 각자의 시각으로 연구한 성과물을 프로젝트 마지막 날에 전시를 통해 선보였습니다.
