Unrecognized Everyday Life is a work to move a tourist’s gaze closer to the everyday life that is otherwise hidden.
It wants to show Nantes through everyday objects that are hidden around us, not through what we can see on the internet.
The everyday objects I found in Nantes include mailboxes, fire hydrants, doors, handles, tables, chimneys, pots, power outlets, switches, water bottles, vending machines, traffic lights, bicycle racks, bins, bin bags, ashtrays, rainwater trenches, pétanque, and various signages.
Such things exist both in Korea and Nantes and how they are used is not very different, which means they can be regarded as things in common. Shapes and colors of various objects and little connections and relationships make every day of the city. I hope people will look at Nantes with their own perspective, through these small things.

숨은 일상

<숨은 일상>은 관광객 관점에서 주변의 일상으로 시선을 옮기는 작업이다. 인터넷이나 SNS를 통해 우리가 알고 있는 낭트가 아닌, 주변에 숨어있는 일상적 사물들을 통해 낭트를 보여주고자 한다.
현지에서 발견한 일상적 사물들로는 우체통, 소화전, 문, 손잡이, 테이블, 난간, 굴뚝, 화분, 콘센트, 스위치, 물병, 자판기, 신호등, 자전거 거치대, 쓰레기통, 쓰레기봉투, 담뱃재떨이, 빗물 트렌치, 페탕크(pétanque), 여러 사이니지 등이 있다.
이런 일상적 사물은 한국과 낭트 어느 도시에나 존재하고 이용하는 방식도 크게 다르지 않기 때문에, 어떤 누구와도 소통과 공유 가능한 요소다. 각기 다른 사물의 크기와 색 그리고 작은 관계들이 낭트만의 일상을 만든다. 낭트에 숨어있는 일상적 사물들을 통해 각자의 취향에 맞게 낭트를 바라보기 원한다.
