Keisuke Maruta
Kesisuke MARUTA, born in Tokyo, is a young visual artist based in France. He is also a student at ENSAD in Paris. His creation is nourished by his own experiences of being a minority and is articulated around the events of everyday life. A prolonged artistic exileabroad inflicted an identity crisis on him and the Camusian melancholy of being a foreigner. His works problematise a certain widespread view that makes Japanese culture the object of fantasy.
